Audrianna Visits!!

One of our favorite times of the year is when Audrianna visits!  This year she had an extended stay of 3 weeks!  So as much as we wanted to pack a whole bunch in we were acting on a limited budget and the what ails you during the 1st trimester!

Most of our days together were spent watching Fringe on Prime...But we did have some highlights that we managed to capture!

We did manage to go to the Norwalk Aquarium... Where we got the only picture of us together...
Audrianna pet sharks and rays while Maggie watched!
Maggie really enjoyed their meerkat exhibit... odd that an aquarium has meerkats but whatever.

We also made it to the beach! The tide was out so the water was shallow and warm!

Audrianna found a hermit crab and here she is showing it to Maggie!  She named him Harry and put him in a bucket... unfortunately that was not a good place for Harry and he didn't make it to the afternoon... whoops. RIP friend.

Maggie showed Audrianna her miso soup eating skills!
We went to the world famous pizza joint in New Haven~ Pepes!  YUM!
We were all smiles!

We also went to Six Flags over New England!  Which is great for a coaster fanatic like myself and Audrianna!  Too bad for me pregnancy and roller coasters don't mix so I had to watch Audrianna have all the fun! Here Audrianna waits for the Goliath Coaster, which is their newest thriller!  Unfortunately the long wait and the shortness of the ride didn't warrant a repeat... unlike the amazing Bizarro~ not only is the thing huge but it is the longest coaster there!  I think Audrianna went on it 3 times!
Checking out what Six Flags has to offer!
Walking around the park while we waited for Audrianna!
They also had a water park so for the afternoon we spent our time splashing in the water!
And being a lil' crazy!

And a lil' cold as it wasn't the warmest day for our visit... which is great for waiting in line for coasters but not so great in the water!
We also just hung out at our own water park!  The front yard splash mat!  Nothing is cooler!
Audrianna makes everything more fun and the accessories can't be beat!

Being cute and playing with Muti's hat on an average no frill day!

Feeling the cousin love!
Our second visit to Six Flags was more water park focused and the temperature was perfect for it!  Gotta love the lazy river!

Our first Prenatal visit

Last year when we started the discussion of trying for baby 2, we actually met with Dr. Levi at the fertility clinic just to start planning and know the steps for making this happen... During our consult Dr. Levi recommended a midwife for us... more specifically for me to get my annual pap with as I was up for renewal... So I went with Maggie in tow and met with Katie Despot who practices with Dr. Laser and Dr. Deals... I kid you not!   Had a great chat with her and did the dreaded pap.

Well I loved her.  So when we got pregnant I could already check "hunt for prenatal care" off my to do list!

Seana hadn't gotten to meet her so this was her chance to yay or nay my decision... Yes she does have a vote when it comes to who we see for our prenatal care!

Lucky for me, Seana liked her!  Or at least she didn't dislike her, she is no Marisol in her book but she also doesn't work in the same environment at Marisol.

Our first visit came complete with ultrasound!!! YAY!!!  A couple weeks have passed since our last ultrasound and you can definitely see the progression of how our baby is developing!!  Pisces looks like a baby!!!!  And is giving all signs that point to healthy!!

Let the guessing begin!

We went in for our 2nd ultrasound, this was with the fertility clinic.  We of course were excited because of the ultrasound!!  Any opportunity for an ultrasound we jump for!!  Since our last ultrasound was a week ago, there isn't too much of a difference between the two ultrasounds... but again you see the oval and the yolk sac.  The main purpose of this visit was to make sure that the heart rate of the baby is within the normal range for this time in the pregnancy... You will be happy to know that it is within the normal range.

Dr. Levi's assistant Christine did the ultrasound... I don't know her professional title, but she actually has done most of the "work" on me... as in the tubal flush and set up for the insemination..(I always credit Seana for the actual insemination as she pushed the plunger!!)  Both ultrasound visits as well as a couple of the ultrasounds to view my follicles... So I guess you could say we are familiar with her...

Well... all that to say she is betting on us having a baby boy!  Why? Well our baby's heart rate was on the lower spectrum of the normal range and from her experience this correlates to a male gender.   She said she has a 40% chance of being right so we will see if she is right!

This was our last visit with them since all looks well!  But I will be sure to call them and let Christine know if her hunch was right once we know!
