Stepping Stones Children's Museum

Well, we decided to check out Connecticut's Children Museum... It was enjoyable.  But I wouldn't have defined this place as a Museum.

So the dictionary defines a Museum as...

mu·se·um

  [myoo-zee-uhm]
noun
a building or place where works of art, scientific specimens, orother objects of permanent value are kept and displayed.

I just don't see this place as that, It was more of a learning playground.  There weren't any true exhibits with exception to a section about disabilities, where it shows the different disabilities people can have and how they manage living with that disability.  They topped it off with exercises and projects kids can do to try to "walk in their shoes" if you will.

So aside from that a big learning play ground.  The good news is they have playgrounds for different ages.... here are some photos of Maggie playing in her age appropriate play ground.

The best thing we took from this place is we were introduced to a new video called ANIMUSIC!  It is pretty awesome, it is just instrumental and digital music put to computer-animated instruments.
